Reading is one of the best ways to prepare your child for success at school and life. The Wilson Public Library offers drop-in story time every Friday, from 11-11:30am, where children enjoy a story followed by a craft or activity. No registration is required. Primarily for ages 3-6 with an accompanying adult. Wilson Public Library is also the home of Emersyn's Corner which offers a wide variety of interactive toys for your child to enjoy, donated in honor of Emersyn Heimann.

Hosted by the Haymaker Creative District. Featuring a live artist competition, classic car cruise, open play corn hole tournament, 17+ Shopping Vendors, photo op, youth crafts & face painting, local and regional food trucks and a beer garden. The first Monday of every month, except July & September (Saturday July 13th with the Chamber of Commerce Parking Lot Party & Saturday September 7th with Hay Days). Fill out your passport with a visit to each vendor, and participate in the Downtown Poker Run for a chance at prizes!

Please join the Haymaker Creative District for the reveal of the new window mural and presentation of an award to the design contest winner, Jakob Kostman. Friday, May 10th at Noon. A light lunch provided to the first 25 attendees.

"Meat" for a Meal with the Cozad Chamber Ag Committee. Free will donations to our local FFA students. Meal will include burgers, chips and water.

The Chamber is excited to announce an eventful 2024, and we are dedicated to making it a memorable year! Please save the date for May 18th, 2024, as we prepare for what promises to be the inaugural First Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. This exciting event is being organized in partnership with the Cozad Country Club and the esteemed Team Jack Foundation.

We are thrilled to highlight a lineup of talented individuals from our own community, including participants such as Dreu Young, Connor Young, Jared Crick, Luke Pinkelman, Rod Baker, Sarah Yocom, Alex Boryca, and Ashley Ford. Additionally, we have extended invitations to renowned celebrities such as Brett Wetton, Chris Dishman, Monte Krazenstein, Clay Anderson, Bill Busch, Ty Steinkuhler, Josh Banderas, Andy Janovich, Brent Qvale, Matt Slauson, and many others who have expressed keen interest in attending.

Proceeds from various activities during the tournament will be allocated directly to the Team Jack Foundation. This includes contributions from all Celebrity Teammate enrollments, the Buy a Drive at Hole 10 initiative, and Title Sponsor proceeds. We are excited to unveil our 2024 Title Sponsor later this week!

Edgerton Explorit Center will bring their portable planetarium to WPL on Thursday, May 30 for an interactive tour of the night sky! This inflatable dome and projection system not only shows you the night sky as it appears from Earth but can travel throughout the Solar System as well. It can even recreate a view of the sky from the Moon and show you the magic of an eclipse. These 30-minute interactive tours will be led by Deb Miller (Educator/Mad Scientist) from the Edgerton Explorit Center. Four shows will be offered: 1:00, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, with each capped at 25 people. Registration is required by calling 308-784-2019 or stopping by the front desk. Registration will close when full. Free and open to all ages. Unfortunately, the planetarium is not wheelchair accessible and participants need to be able to sit on the floor.
