It seems like yesterday that I was receiving my first $$ as a new business owner . My Aunt Karmen was the Chamber director at the time. I was also surrounded by friends serving on the chamber and the local Ambassadors.
Joining the Cozad Chamber wasn't ever a question for me, I guess. I didn't really ever think or ask, "what's in it for me" or the thought of "I'll be fine on my own"; that never really went through my mind. All I was thinking at the time is, wow, these people who kinda know me, they are showing up and showing up big. I was thinking, I have something to offer and I am going to work hard to make the Meridian Tap House a thing.
5 years later ( dont miss our party on this coming Sunday) I have to say that Jordan and I have a really great relationship. We bounce ideas for the community off each other. She knows Im up for all the crazy. I know that she will help me out when she can as far as printing needs, marketing ideas and so on. She also loves to taste test new food ideas! We have built something pretty great and love working together to build up our town.

I grew up in Cozad, took a brief sabbatical during my freshman year of high school through graduation, then found my way back to good ole Cozad, where I met my husband. Greg and I have been together 30 years and have a college kid!
In 2021 I decided to leave the factory work behind and start my new adventure in customer service x2! I also work at Frontier Family Pharmacy. Every Tuesday at the pharmacy we order Mr. Taco Loco for lunch to celebrate taco tuesday. They are the local Mexican food truck parked at Tractor Supply - soo good!.
I've been at the Tap since day 1 and have had almost everything on the menu at least once. My go to depends on my mood; sometimes I do the chicken bacon wrap or turkey club add avocado in a wrap with cottage cheese as my side. Although, lately I have been digging the cauliflower nuggs tossed in buff. The hot beef and cheddar is my favorite so when that's on special I am ordering that. And of course, the prime rib on Thursdays!
*** Sometimes Kristen makes me host Music Bingo - come see me in April on the first and third Thursdays of the month!

Last night, March 19th, the Cozad Chamber & Cozad Development hosted our Annual Meeting and we were blessed with an incredible turnout. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so meaningful.
We were honored to present the 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Peter Osborne, Executive Director of the Robert Henri Museum & Art Gallery, and to recognize Berreckman & Bazata as our 2025 Business of the Year. Both represent the very best of what it means to serve, invest in, and believe in Cozad.
As we celebrated these achievements, we were reminded of a simple truth: Progress doesn’t just happen—it’s built together through people, partnerships, and purpose.
Nights like this show exactly what that looks like in action. We are so proud to live and work in such a supportive, vibrant community. ❤️

Currently I am attending college at CCC in Hastings, where I am enrolled in the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts program. I am really looking forward to my internship at Tap this summer and the opportunity to spend more time at the front of the house, serving drinks and interacting with the wonderful people of Cozad.
As for my favorite place, I would choose Pump & Pantry. I often stop there to buy gas while traveling back and forth and I appreciate the friendly staff. It's a fast and convenient stop, which is great because I am always on the go. When I'm out eating - you can find me at the Tap; highly recommending the Bacon Turkey Bravado wrap or da Bomb burger.

Hello everyone! My name is Talyn Propp, and I am currently a senior at Cozad High School. I've been working at the Tap House since January of my freshman year; just over three years.
My favorite thing to do in Cozad is go out to eat with my friends Emma and Beca at the Meridian Tap House. We also enjoy going to the Fox theater together.
My go-to order at the Tap is either the kids cheese burger with ketsup and pickles or the chicken bacon wrap and I always get a Mountain Dew, usually refilled about 5 times, with a side of Mac N Jacs and extra ranch, obviously.
At work I always have my game face on because the customers need their food fast and delicious.

When I'm not working you can find me walking my pup, volunteering throughout various organizations in Cozad and Lexington, trying to wrangle in my nieces or just spending time with my family.
FUN FACT: Today is my birthday! You'll find me celebrating at Trivia tonight at my favorite place to eat MTH - where I'lll probably be ordering my favorite dish - the Big Porker Wrap!

I really enjoy and appreciate the sweet, sometimes salty faces Cozad brings to us; at not only the Tap but all the places here.
The local Thrift store has got to be my favorite spot to shop of course. Not only do they have everyone's so called junk, but some of my most loved treasures have been found there and many more great finds to come.
Let's talk food: When I'm hungry what am I eating? Its a struggle - so lucky me I can make my own. My most loved treat is a combo because i can't ever decide which I want more... the brisket pita or the popper pita ( don't tell kristen, or ever try to order one for yourself :)) Check it out in the comments!
