The Cozad Board of Education held a regular meeting on January 15 in a larger venue to accommodate a large crowd. Superintendent James Ford announced his resignation, effective at the end of the school year on June 30, 2024. The board will use NASB to start the search for a new superintendent. The meeting saw overwhelming support for the addition of girls’ wrestling to the CHS athletic program. The board also reorganized for 2024, with Kiley Goff elected as president, Joel Carlson as vice president, and Ann Burkholder as secretary. Additionally, the board approved the addition of girls’ wrestling at both the middle and high school levels for the 2024-25 school year.
