The Cozad City Council met to discuss several important matters. First, they unanimously approved new duplex addresses in the Schaulis Subdivision as recommended by the Planning Commission.

Beverly Polito proposed enhancing Veterans Memorial Park with additional lighting, inspired by her experiences in Helen, Georgia. She aims to beautify the park with LED Christmas lights and more, partnering with local committees and seeking funding sources.

Jordan Starman of the Cozad Chamber of Commerce requested access to Green Space for an upcoming event benefiting the AFA Scholarship Fund, which was approved by the council.

Various city commissioners provided updates, including progress on city-wide clean-up, electrical needs for a new art gallery, water treatment operations, police training, and city office vacancies.

City Administrator Nikki Schwanz is preparing for a state audit and pursuing grants for police equipment. The next council meeting is scheduled for April 22, with citizen participation encouraged.
